Before upgrading
Before upgrading a production environment:- Review all releases between the currently installed version and the target version.
- Identify potential impacts to deployed components, integrations, custom configurations, APIs, data stores, authentication, privacy controls, and infrastructure.
- Review security and compliance requirements, including security updates introduced in each release and any changes to required security, privacy, authentication, or compliance controls.
- Verify system requirements for the target release, including supported software, runtimes, browsers, operating systems, and databases.
- Back up applicable configurations and databases before starting the upgrade.
- Test the upgrade in a non-production environment, including critical monitoring, analytics, automation, dashboards, and integrations.
- Validate the upgraded environment, including data ingestion, Session Replay, alerts, reports, automated actions, permissions, integrations, and overall platform health.
