Maintenance - germain APM is 456 times faster (BETA results)

Description

This is part of the performance optimization project (optimization of Germain’s alerting, reporting, data collection, correlation, aggregation, visualization and reporting) that started a month ago. Initial BETA testing shows Germain dashboard ~456 times faster than before. This is still BETA. Our plan is to provide GA release on 2/28/18, all release details will be provided then. WITHOUT OPTIMIZATION Click on “Drill-through” (of Germain dashboard) on “Siebel Svc Txns” portlet, takes 23.28 seconds Volume for 1 day: 16 million rows Database: mySQL Showing 100 rows, sort by duration (slowest first) WITH OPTIMIZATION Click on “Drill-through” (of Germain dashboard) on “Siebel Svc Txns” portlet takes 0.051 second Volume for 1 day: 16 million rows Database: mySQL Showing 100 rows, sort by duration (slowest first) Disclaimer (sorry 🙂 ): these benchmarks may vary from one environment to the next (one may see 1000x improvement and the other 200x, depending on the hardware, etc), yet we can guarantee that any customer will see significant performance improvement with this release! 🙂

Analytics - More & easier

Description

The performance optimization project that are announcing as BETA this month, is more than just code optimization, it is also optimization of the architecture and data model which eliminates the limitations we/you have experienced in the past. As a result, you will see easier and more ways to analyze data, filter, correlate, etc

Added the ability to zoom in and out to make it easier to analyze User experience, Business Process executions, etc

Maintenance - Cloud updates (3)

Continuing our work on making our cloud solution easier to use. None of this is on prod yet as we are working on a number of other enhancements scheduled to be part of our next cloud upgrade, but that will show you what we have been upto.

• Sign-up process improvement (e.g. added abilities to log on using your Facebook, Linkedin and Google email, etc).
• Agent and Engine deployment (you can now download and deploy your Germain Agent and engine via a few clicks - before you had to contact us to do this)
• Ease to add a new metric (this is v1 of how we envision configuration to be done)
