⚙️ Configuration Wizards

GermainUX Wizards provide guided, step-by-step configuration for Monitoring, Analytics, and Automation.

Instead of configuring each object manually, users answer a series of questions and the Wizard creates or updates the required GermainUX configuration.

✨ Wizards help teams:

Benefit

Configure common use cases faster

Apply recommended settings

Reduce configuration errors

Standardize deployment across applications and environments

Guide users who are unfamiliar with GermainUX configuration

Automate repeatable setup processes

  4. Enter the requested information.

  5. Continue through each step.

🔖 Wizard Categories

Wizards can assist with three primary configuration areas:

Category

Purpose

Monitoring

Configures data collection for an application, service, infrastructure component, user experience, or other monitored technology.

Analytics

Configures KPIs, SLAs, Rules, categorization, correlations, dashboards, or other analytical objects.

Automation

Configures alerts, actions, reports, remediation workflows, or other automated responses.

A single Wizard may configure objects across more than one category when required by the use case.

🔎 Review the Generated Configuration

After completing a Wizard:

  1. Review the configuration objects it created or updated.

  2. Confirm that applications, data sources, credentials, filters, and other referenced objects are correct.

  3. Verify whether the generated objects are enabled or disabled.

  4. Test the configuration in a non-production environment when appropriate.

  5. Confirm that data is being collected, analyzed, or acted upon as expected.

The user running the Wizard must have the permissions required to create or update the corresponding configuration objects.

Custom Wizards can be used to:
