Germain Workspace

Germain Workspace is the primary interface for accessing real-time insights, investigating issues, reviewing AI recommendations, collaborating with teammates, creating dashboards, and configuring GermainUX.

The menu options displayed to each user depend on their Role, Team membership, licensed features, and environment configuration.

Menu	Description
Operational	Provides a real-time overview of the health and performance of monitored business operations, applications, services, and infrastructure.
Frictions	Centralizes UX-, workflow-, and technology-related issues affecting users, adoption, conversion, productivity, or operations.
AI Advice	Provides AI-generated recommendations, prioritized by impact, for resolving frictions and improving business outcomes.
Notes	Manages findings, issues, assignments, comments, and resolutions documented from GermainUX insights.
My Data	Provides quick access to insights, Session Replays, dashboards, and other content saved by the current user.
Dashboards	Provides access to authorized dashboards, reports, SLA violations, and dashboard-creation features.
Settings	Provides access to monitoring, analytics, automation, platform-health, and system configuration.
Doc	Opens the GermainUX documentation, including configuration guides, troubleshooting information, and release notes.
Contact Us	Provides access to GermainUX Support and contact information.

Operational

The Operational dashboard provides a real-time, 360-degree view of monitored business operations and technologies.

View	Description
Applications	Summarizes the availability, performance, errors, activity, and user experience of monitored applications.
Application Components	Displays the health and performance of the functional and technical components belonging to monitored applications.
Databases	Summarizes the availability, performance, capacity, errors, and activity of monitored databases.
Environments	Organizes operational health by environments such as Production, Staging, QA, or Development.
Hosts	Displays the availability, capacity, performance, and resource utilization of monitored servers and hosts.
Services	Summarizes the availability and performance of monitored services, APIs, and application dependencies.
Adoption	Identifies user struggles and other factors affecting application adoption and successful usage.
Conversion	Identifies customer struggles, abandonment, and other factors affecting eCommerce conversion.
Trend	Displays how selected operational KPIs change over time.
Summary	Provides a condensed view of the most important operational indicators.

The available views and metrics depend on the applications, technologies, and KPIs configured in the environment.

Frictions

The Frictions dashboard provides a centralized, prioritized view of issues detected across user behavior, workflows, and technology.

Friction Type	Description
UX Frictions	Identifies usability problems such as rage clicks, dead clicks, error clicks, freezes, crashes, and confusing interactions.
Workflow Frictions	Identifies abandoned, delayed, repeated, inefficient, or unsuccessful user journeys and business processes.
Technology Frictions	Identifies errors, slowdowns, failures, and unavailable technologies affecting users or operations.

Users can drill into a friction to assess its impact, identify affected users or segments, review supporting evidence, determine its probable cause, and open relevant Session Replays or technical traces.

AI Advice

The AI Advice dashboard provides recommendations generated from monitored data and summarized user sessions at scale.

Advice Area	Description
Adoption	Recommends actions to reduce user struggles and increase successful application usage.
Conversion	Recommends actions to reduce abandonment and improve revenue-generating customer journeys.
Productivity	Recommends actions to reduce wasted time, repeated work, workflow delays, and employee frustration.
User Experience	Recommends design and interaction improvements based on observed user behavior and feedback.
Technology	Recommends technical changes to reduce errors, slowdowns, failures, and performance problems.

Recommendations can include their estimated impact, affected segments, supporting evidence, related frictions, and links to detailed investigations.

Notes

The Notes dashboard centralizes the findings, issues, and corrective actions documented in GermainUX.

Capability	Description
My Notes	Displays Notes created by or assigned to the current user.
All Notes	Displays all Notes the user is authorized to access.
Open Notes	Displays issues and findings that still require investigation or corrective action.
Resolved Notes	Displays Notes whose investigation or corrective action has been completed.

A Note can be created from a dashboard, metric, Analysis view, or Session Replay and assigned to another user for follow-up.

My Data

The My Data menu provides access to content retained for the current user.

Submenu	Description
Saved for Later	Provides access to insights, dashboards, investigations, and Session Replays bookmarked by the current user.

Use Save This for Later from a supported GermainUX view to preserve a direct link and resume the investigation later.

Dashboards

The Dashboards menu provides access to the dashboards and reports the user is authorized to view or manage.

Submenu	Description
Pinned	Displays dashboards pinned for the user or inherited through Team membership.
All	Displays all dashboards the user is authorized to access.
Create	Generates a dashboard from selected KPIs, measures, pivots, filters, and keywords.
Reports	Provides access to reports that users can generate or download manually.
SLA Violations	Identifies KPIs exceeding their configured SLA thresholds to help prioritize investigation.

Dashboard creation requires the appropriate Role permission, while dashboard and data visibility are controlled through Team membership.

Settings

The Settings menu separates configuration and administration from the operational features used for daily analysis.

Sessions	Displays and manages active and recent GermainUX user sessions.
Jobs	Displays the status, execution history, and results of scheduled and background jobs.
Documents	Displays and manages documents stored or processed by GermainUX.
Updated Objects	Displays recently modified configuration objects and their update details.
UX Tester	Tests and validates Real User Monitoring configuration and data collection for a web application.

System

Submenu	Description
AI	Configures AI providers, prompts, models, and related settings used by GermainUX AI features.
Auth Settings	Configures authentication providers, users, Roles, Teams, access requests, and API keys.
Data Retention	Defines how long GermainUX retains raw and aggregated data.
Display Settings	Controls Workspace appearance, default displays, and other presentation settings.
Distribution Lists	Defines reusable recipient lists for alerts, reports, and other automated communications.
Engine Settings	Configures Engines, automatic configuration, component types, and monitoring Rules.
License	Displays the current GermainUX license and allows authorized administrators to update it.
