Deploy Monitoring for RingCentral

📡 Deploy Monitoring for RingCentral

Deploy the GermainUX components required to monitor RingCentral call activity, browser user experience, connected CRM workflows, integrations, and customer-controlled supporting systems.

🏗️ Deployment Architecture

The primary RingCentral integration uses a GermainUX Engine to collect supported RingCentral call-signaling events through SIP over WebSocket.

Additional GermainUX components can be deployed depending on the required monitoring coverage.

Deploy only the components required for your environment.

Prerequisites

Before deployment, confirm:

  • GermainUX is available for the target environment.

  • A GermainUX Engine can be deployed.

  • The Engine can communicate with Germain Enterprise.

  • The Engine can reach the required RingCentral endpoints.

  • Required firewall and proxy access is available.

  • RingCentral credentials and permissions have been approved.

  • Required RingCentral interfaces are enabled.

  • Data permitted for collection has been defined.

  • The target GermainUX application and environment exist.

  • Common identifiers required for CRM correlation have been identified.

Coordinate with the RingCentral administrator, CRM owner, network team, security team, and compliance team when required.

1. Deploy the GermainUX Engine

The Engine collects supported RingCentral events and sends them to GermainUX for processing and analysis.

Using the Engine Wizard

Go to:

Germain Workspace > Left Menu > Wizards > Engine

Use the Engine Wizard to download the appropriate Engine package for your operating system and deployment model.

Deploy the Engine on a host that can communicate with:

  • Germain Enterprise

  • Required RingCentral endpoints

  • Customer-controlled integrations or systems that will also be monitored

Configure proxy settings when direct network access is unavailable.

After installation:

  1. Start the Engine.

  2. Open Germain Workspace.

  3. Go to Germain > State.

  4. Locate the new Engine node.

  5. Authorize the node when required.

  6. Confirm that the Engine is online.

2. Verify RingCentral Connectivity

From the Engine host, confirm connectivity to the RingCentral endpoint required by the integration.

Verify:

  • DNS resolution

  • HTTPS/WSS connectivity

  • Firewall rules

  • Proxy configuration

  • TLS requirements

  • Authentication access

Do not continue with production configuration until connectivity is confirmed.

3. Deploy Browser Monitoring — Optional

Browser monitoring is optional and is used when visibility into the agent's browser activity is required.

RingCentral-Hosted Application

When RingCentral is hosted by RingCentral and JavaScript injection is not available, use the GermainUX RUM Extension when technically supported and authorized.

Deploy the extension to the required browsers and users.

Customer-Controlled Application

When RingCentral is integrated into a web application controlled by your organization, deploy GermainUX RUM JS.

The RUM JS can capture supported activity occurring in the customer-controlled browser context.

Cross-origin RingCentral content remains subject to browser security restrictions.

4. Deploy CRM Monitoring — Optional

When RingCentral is used alongside a CRM, deploy the appropriate GermainUX monitoring for that application.

Examples include:

  • Salesforce Classic

  • Salesforce Lightning

  • Oracle Siebel CRM

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365

  • Customer-controlled CRM applications

This enables RingCentral activity to be correlated with CRM activity, business processes, errors, and user sessions.

5. Deploy Supporting-System Monitoring — Optional

For deeper root-cause analysis, deploy monitoring for customer-controlled systems supporting the RingCentral workflow.

Examples include:

  • CTI connectors

  • Middleware

  • Integration services

  • Authentication services

  • APIs

  • Application servers

  • Logs

  • Databases

  • Network endpoints

GermainUX does not directly monitor RingCentral's private SaaS infrastructure unless the required telemetry is exposed through an authorized interface.

6. Deploy Synthetic Monitoring — Optional

Use GermainUX RPA Bot Recorder to create approved synthetic RingCentral or CRM scenarios.

Examples include:

  1. Open RingCentral.

  2. Sign in with a dedicated test account.

  3. Verify that the agent interface loads.

  4. Open a CRM record.

  5. Confirm that RingCentral controls are available.

  6. Execute an approved test interaction.

  7. Verify that the workflow completes.

Synthetic scenarios should use dedicated accounts and approved test destinations.

7. Validate the Deployment

Before enabling monitoring broadly, verify each deployed data source.

Engine

Confirm:

  • Engine is online.

  • RingCentral endpoints are reachable.

  • Authentication succeeds.

  • The RingCentral collection component can execute.

RingCentral

Perform an approved test interaction and verify that expected call events reach GermainUX.

Browser Monitoring

When deployed:

  1. Open RingCentral or the related CRM.

  2. Perform representative actions.

  3. Confirm browser events reach GermainUX.

  4. Verify errors and network requests can be collected.

  5. Verify Session Replay when enabled.

CRM Correlation

Complete an approved interaction involving RingCentral and the CRM.

Confirm that GermainUX can associate:

  • Call

  • Agent/user

  • Browser session

  • CRM workflow

Privacy

Before production rollout, verify:

  • Masking

  • Exclusions

  • Anonymization

  • Session Replay behavior

  • Access permissions

  • Data retention

Once deployment has been validated, continue with Configure Monitoring for RingCentral.
