Deployment

Germain UX Enterprise can be deployed on-premises or in the cloud, with configurable monitoring, analytics, transaction execution, and data security capabilities.

🚀 Deploy GermainUX

GermainUX can be deployed as a fully managed cloud service, within your organization’s infrastructure, or as a hybrid architecture combining cloud-hosted GermainUX Enterprise with monitoring components deployed inside your network.

GermainUX Enterprise is the central platform used to configure monitoring, process collected data, analyze user and application activity, manage automations, and provide dashboards, alerts, reports, and Session Replay.

Additional components are deployed only when required by the applications, technologies, and user experiences you want to monitor.

☁️ GermainUX Cloud

GermainUX Enterprise is hosted and managed by Germain Software in a dedicated, isolated environment. It is available worldwide on AWS, with other hosting options available when required.

Cloud deployment provides:

  • Faster provisioning

  • No GermainUX Enterprise infrastructure to manage

  • A dedicated customer environment

  • Secure communication with components deployed inside your network

  • The flexibility to monitor cloud, on-premise, browser-based, mobile, and native Windows applications

Components deployed within your infrastructure typically communicate with GermainUX Cloud over outbound HTTPS using port 443.

🏗️ GermainUX On-Premise

GermainUX Enterprise can be deployed within your own data center or private cloud when your organization requires direct control over infrastructure, data residency, networking, security, or platform administration.

The on-premise deployment process includes:

  1. Reviewing the infrastructure and software requirements

  2. Obtaining the GermainUX deployment package and license

  3. Installing the required infrastructure services

  4. Installing GermainUX Enterprise

  5. Deploying the monitoring components required for your applications

  6. Validating connectivity and data collection

🌐 Web Application With JavaScript Access

Deploy GermainUX RUM JS when you can add JavaScript to the monitored website or application.

It supports many platforms and frameworks, including Angular, React, Vue.js, Shopify, Magento, WordPress, Salesforce Experience Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle Siebel CRM, and other web applications.

Deploy GermainUX RUM JS

🚫 Web Application Without JavaScript Access

Deploy the GermainUX RUM Extension when you cannot modify the application or inject JavaScript into its root page context. This is commonly required for SaaS applications such as Salesforce Lightning.

The extension can be installed individually or centrally deployed to managed browsers.

Deploy the GermainUX RUM Extension

💻 Native Windows Application

Deploy GermainUX Agent and GermainUX RUM Windows to monitor the real-user experience of native Windows applications, including supported .NET, C#, and C++ applications.

This enables the collection of user interactions, application responsiveness, errors, freezes, crashes, workflow activity, and Session Replay.

📱 Android Application or Device

Deploy the GermainUX Mobile App to monitor and automate supported Android applications and devices.

🧰 Deploy Additional Monitoring and Automation Components

💻 GermainUX Engine

Deploy one or more GermainUX Engines when monitoring or automation must execute near an application, database, server, service, or other protected resource.

Engines can be installed on Windows or Linux or deployed using Docker. Multiple Engines may be distributed across environments, regions, or network zones.

Deploy GermainUX Engine

🔧 Code Profiler

Deploy the Code Profiler when you need transaction-level visibility into application code and dependencies. The supported deployment process depends on the monitored runtime.

Deploy GermainUX Code Profiler

📈 JavaScript Profiler

Deploy the JS Profiler when you need detailed, real-time analysis of JavaScript function execution and browser-side performance.

📋 Typical Deployment Sequence

  1. Choose where GermainUX Enterprise will run: GermainUX Cloud, your infrastructure, or a hybrid architecture.

  2. Confirm infrastructure and network requirements: including outbound HTTPS access, proxies, firewalls, certificates, and access to monitored systems.

  3. Deploy GermainUX Enterprise: when using an on-premise installation. Cloud instances are provisioned by Germain Software.

  4. Deploy GermainUX Engines: wherever monitoring or automation must execute close to protected resources.

  5. Deploy the required monitoring components: RUM JS, RUM Extension, RUM Windows, Mobile App, or Code Profiler.

  6. Configure the monitored applications: using the appropriate Germain Workspace wizard.

  7. Validate connectivity and authorization: confirm that components appear in Germain Workspace and are successfully transmitting data.

  8. Validate data privacy settings: configure collection exclusions, masking, and anonymization before production rollout.

  9. Confirm monitoring results: verify KPIs, dashboards, alerts, traces, and Session Replay.

  10. Expand the deployment: progressively add applications, user groups, environments, and automation capabilities.

🛡️ Security and Data Privacy

GermainUX data collection can be configured according to your organization’s security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

Before production deployment, determine:

  • Which applications, pages, workflows, users, and environments may be monitored

  • Which data must not be collected

  • Which values must be masked or anonymized

  • Where collected data may be stored

  • Which users may access monitoring data or Session Replay

  • How long collected data should be retained

  • Whether monitored users must be notified under your organization’s policies

These controls apply whether GermainUX Enterprise is hosted in the cloud or deployed within your infrastructure.

🤝 Trial and Deployment Assistance
