🔑 Password Reset

GermainUX allows users who authenticate with a GermainUX username and password to securely reset a forgotten password from the login page.

This process applies to database-managed GermainUX users. If your organization uses LDAP, Active Directory, OAuth, or another identity provider, reset your password through that provider.

🔁 Reset a Forgotten Password

  1. Open the GermainUX login page.

  2. Click Forgot Password.

  3. Enter the email address associated with your GermainUX account.

  4. Submit the request.

  5. GermainUX sends a password-reset email to that address.

  6. Open the email and select the password-reset link.

  7. Enter and confirm your new password.

  8. Return to the GermainUX login page and sign in with the new password.

If you do not receive the email:

For security reasons, GermainUX may display the same confirmation regardless of whether the submitted email address corresponds to an account.
