File Download

📁 Retrieve and Download Monitored Files

GermainUX can retrieve files from monitored servers and make them available securely through GermainUX Workspace.

This eliminates the need to access the application server, locate the file manually, or retrieve it before an automated purge removes it.

📃 Typical files include:

File Type

Oracle Siebel CRM logs

Java application logs

Web-server logs

Error and diagnostic files

Other files monitored by GermainUX

Files can be requested on demand or retrieved automatically when a scheduled workflow has been configured.

📥 Request a File

When a monitored event contains an available filename:

  1. Locate the file in the GermainUX Analysis Dashboard.

  2. Select the Cloud icon beside the filename.

⚙️ Retrieval Workflow

The complete process is:

Request → Retrieve from Server → Transfer to GermainUX → Notify → Download

warning Important Considerations

Consideration

The GermainUX Engine must have access to the original file and directory.

The file must still exist when the retrieval request is processed.

The Engine account must have permission to read the file.

GermainUX access controls determine which users can request and download files.

Download links and retained copies should follow the organization’s security and retention policies.

Sensitive files may contain credentials, personal information, or production data and should be protected accordingly.

If files are purged quickly, configure scheduled retrieval or archiving so required evidence is preserved before deletion.
