## Overview

GermainUX enables Salesforce users to provide positive or negative feedback directly from the application while they work. Users can also add comments explaining their experience.

## What feedback captures

Each submission is captured in real time and correlated with the user’s monitored session, helping teams understand:

* What the user was doing when feedback was submitted
* Which page, feature, or workflow was involved
* What errors or performance issues occurred
* Whether similar feedback affects other users
* Which sessions should be investigated first

## Prerequisites

Before enabling user feedback, deploy the appropriate GermainUX Real User Monitoring component for your Salesforce environment:

| Component | When to use |
| - | - |
| **GermainUX RUM JS** | where JavaScript deployment is supported |
| **GermainUX RUM Extension** | where a browser extension is required |

User Feedback is part of the GermainUX Real User Monitoring and Session Replay capability.

## Enable User Feedback

**1. Deploy GermainUX RUM JS or RUM Extension**

**2. Configure the appearance and behavior of the feedback popup**

**3. Enable the User Feedback Popup**

Once enabled, users can select the thumbs-up or thumbs-down icon and optionally enter a comment.

GermainUX automatically records each submission and makes it available for dashboard analysis, alerting, and correlation with the corresponding session replay.

## Analyze User Feedback

### User Feedback KPI

GermainUX records every feedback submission using the preconfigured **User Feedback** KPI.

The KPI captures:

* Positive or negative feedback
* Any comment entered by the user
* The application and page context
* The associated monitored session

Feedback can be analyzed across all users or within the context of an individual session.

### Session-Level Measures

The **User Session Replay** KPI includes the following feedback measures:

| Measure | Description |
| - | - |
| **Positive Feedback Count** | Number of positive feedback submissions during the session |
| **Negative Feedback Count** | Number of negative feedback submissions during the session |
| **Feedback Comment Count** | Number of comments submitted during the session |

These measures help teams segment and prioritize sessions based on the type and volume of feedback they contain.

See User Feedback KPIs and measures for details.

## Dashboards

To access dashboards containing Salesforce feedback data:

1. Open **Germain Workspace** **→ Left Menu >** **Dashboards → All**.
2. Search for **Salesforce**, **Feedback**, or **Insights for UX**.

You can also:

* Add a feedback portlet to an existing dashboard
* [Create a dedicated feedback dashboard](https://docs.germainux.com/main/management-dashboards.md)
* Analyze a feedback submission within its associated session replay
