## Overview

GermainUX can execute custom **Batch, Perl, PowerShell, Python, and Shell scripts** as part of its Automation capabilities.

Scripts can run:

| | Mode |
| - | - |
| 1 | Continuously |
| 2 | On a configurable schedule |
| 3 | When a defined condition is met |
| 4 | As part of another automated workflow |

This enables GermainUX to perform custom **diagnostic, remediation, operational, validation, and maintenance tasks** automatically.

## Common Uses

Script Execution can be used to:

* Run diagnostics
* Restart services or processes
* Perform health checks
* Collect additional information
* Execute maintenance tasks
* Clear queues or temporary files
* Perform custom operational actions
* Validate whether an issue has been resolved

## Combine Scripts with Other Automation

Scripts can be combined with **Rules and other GermainUX Automated Actions** to create more advanced workflows.

For example:

Detect
Analyze
Execute Script
Validate
Notify or Escalate

This allows the result of monitoring and analytics to drive an authorized operational action and then validate its outcome.

## Supported Script Types

GermainUX supports:

* Batch
* Perl
* PowerShell
* Python
* Shell

## Configuration

Script Execution can be configured for your specific automation requirements, including execution conditions, scheduling, parameters, and associated actions.
