## Recommended deployment sequence

For a complete Siebel CRM deployment:

**1. Deploy the GermainUX Engine**

**2. Configure access to Siebel Server Manager, REST APIs, logs, and the database**

**3. Deploy RUM JS in Siebel UI**

**4. Verify that browser activity and user sessions reach GermainUX**

**5. Deploy the JS Profiler when detailed browser-side or script-level diagnostics are required**

**6. Record and schedule RPA Bot scenarios for proactive availability and workflow testing**

**7. Configure KPIs, SLAs, alerts, business processes, dashboards, and data-privacy rules**

**8. Validate end-to-end correlation between user activity and server-side telemetry**

The components can also be deployed independently.

## Browser and Siebel UI monitoring

### RUM JS

Deploy GermainUX RUM JS in Siebel UI to monitor actual user activity.

RUM JS can provide:

* Real User Monitoring
* Session monitoring and replay
* User click and page-performance analysis
* JavaScript and user-facing error detection
* Network-request monitoring
* User behavior and adoption analysis

> * Lost-productivity detection
> * Correlation of user activity with related technical events

Follow [RUM JS Deployment for Oracle Siebel CRM](https://docs.germainux.com/main/deploy-rum-js-siebel-openui.md).

### JS Profiler

Deploy the GermainUX JS Profiler when deeper browser-side diagnostics are required.

The JS Profiler supports advanced analysis of:

* Siebel UI JavaScript
* Siebel eScript
* Browser processing
* Network requests
* Integration activity
* Execution time
* Errors and exceptions
* Slow or frequently executed functions

Follow [JS Profiler Deployment for Oracle Siebel CRM](https://docs.germainux.com/main/js-profiler-deployment-for-oracle-siebel-crm.md).

## Server-side monitoring

The GermainUX Engine collects and processes server-side Siebel telemetry.

### Siebel Server Manager

Connect the Engine to Siebel Server Manager to monitor application health, component status, usage, availability, capacity, and operational events.

This data can be used to:

* Detect unavailable or degraded components
* Monitor tasks and sessions
* Analyze component utilization
* Identify capacity constraints
* Generate alerts when operational conditions violate an SLA
* Correlate server-side degradation with affected users

Follow Engine Deployment for Oracle Siebel CRM.

### Siebel REST APIs

The Engine can collect operational and application data exposed through Siebel REST APIs.

API-based monitoring can support:

* Application health and availability
* Usage analysis
* Configuration and operational data collection
* Integration monitoring
* Troubleshooting and automated analysis

Use a dedicated monitoring account with only the permissions required to access the configured resources.

### Siebel logs

The Engine can monitor and analyze Siebel log files to detect:

* Application and component errors
* Warnings and exceptions
* Failed integrations
* Slow operations
* Authentication or connectivity problems
* Repeated technical issues
* Events related to a user, session, component, or transaction

The Engine must be able to access the configured log locations. When the logs are remote, configure a supported access or collection method and verify that log rotation does not interrupt monitoring.

### Siebel database

The Engine can monitor the database used by Siebel CRM to analyze:

* Availability
* Performance
* Capacity
* Resource consumption
* Connections and sessions
* Long-running or expensive SQL statements
* Database errors
* Conditions that affect Siebel users or services

Grant the monitoring account read-only access to the required database views and metrics.

## Synthetic monitoring

Deploy the GermainUX RPA Bot Recorder to record and run synthetic Siebel user journeys.

Synthetic transactions can proactively validate workflows such as:

* Logging in
* Opening a customer or account
* Searching for a record
* Creating or updating a service request
* Navigating between views
* Completing a critical business process
* Logging out

Scheduled bots can detect availability, performance, or workflow failures before users report them.

Follow [RPA Bot Recorder Deployment for Oracle Siebel CRM](https://docs.germainux.com/main/rpa-bot-recorder-deployment-for-oracle-siebel-crm.md).

## Network and access requirements

Before deployment, confirm that each GermainUX component can communicate with its required systems.

| Connection | Purpose |
| - | - |
| User browser → GermainUX services | Sends RUM, session, error, and replay data |
| Engine → GermainUX services | Retrieves configuration and sends collected monitoring data |
| Engine → Siebel Server Manager | Collects server and component information |
| Engine → Siebel REST APIs | Collects API-accessible operational data |
| Engine → Siebel logs | Reads configured log files |
| Engine → Siebel database | Collects database health and performance data |
| RPA Bot → Siebel CRM | Runs synthetic user workflows |

Configure proxies, firewalls, DNS, TLS certificates, and allowlists as required by the deployment architecture.

## Security and data privacy

Apply the following controls before enabling production monitoring:

* Use dedicated, least-privilege accounts for Server Manager, REST API, log, and database access.
* Store credentials in the GermainUX credential configuration rather than directly in scripts.
* Use encrypted communication whenever supported.
* Mask, anonymize, or exclude sensitive fields from Session Replay and captured telemetry.
* Exclude passwords, authentication tokens, payment data, protected health information, and other confidential information.
* Restrict access to Session Replay, logs, and diagnostic data through GermainUX roles.
* Test privacy rules against all relevant Siebel views, applets, fields, and customizations.
* Review data-retention requirements before production rollout.

## Validate the deployment

After deploying each component, verify the corresponding data in GermainUX.

### RUM JS validation

Confirm that:

* `germainapm.js` loads successfully.
* User sessions appear in GermainUX.
* Pages, clicks, requests, and errors are captured.
* Session Replay is available when enabled.
* Sensitive fields are masked or excluded.
* Custom Siebel views and applets are monitored correctly.

### Engine validation

Confirm that:

* The Engine is connected and running.
* Siebel Server Manager data is collected.
* REST API requests authenticate successfully.
* Configured log files are read and parsed.
* Database connectivity succeeds.
* Expected Siebel KPIs receive data.
* Collection continues after Engine and Siebel service restarts.

### JS Profiler validation

Confirm that:

* The profiler is active for the intended users or environment.
* JavaScript and eScript execution data is collected.
* Function timing, network, and error details appear in GermainUX.
* The profiling scope and data volume are appropriate for production.

### RPA Bot validation

Confirm that:

* The recorded scenario runs successfully.
* The bot can authenticate to Siebel.
* Each transaction step is measured.
* Failures create the expected KPI events and alerts.
* Test data created by the bot is handled or removed appropriately.
