**Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Bot Recorder via Browser Extension by GermainUX.**

GermainUX RPA Bot Recorder records browser interactions and creates Selenium-based synthetic monitoring and automation scenarios.

Recorded scenarios can be imported into GermainUX, executed from a GermainUX Engine, scheduled, monitored, and alerted on.

## Overview

The RPA Bot Recorder creates the scenario.

GermainUX can then:

| | Action |
| - | - |
| 1 | Import it |
| 2 | Execute it |
| 3 | Schedule it |
| 4 | Measure it |
| 5 | Monitor it |
| 6 | Alert on failures |
| 7 | Analyze its results |

## When to Use RPA Bot Recorder

Use RPA Bot Recorder to:

* Monitor critical user journeys
* Detect availability issues proactively
* Detect performance degradation
* Automate browser-based regression tests
* Validate workflows after releases
* Automate repetitive browser interactions
* Validate SLA-critical business processes

Example:

Login
Search
Open Record
Validate Result

## Architecture

GermainUX
GermainUX Engine
Target Application

The recorder creates the scenario. GermainUX manages and executes it.

## Requirements

Before recording, prepare:

* Supported Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser
* GermainUX RPA Bot Recorder
* Access to the target application
* Dedicated test account
* Predictable test data
* GermainUX environment
* GermainUX Engine when unattended execution is required

## Deployment Overview

Follow these steps to deploy:

| | Action |
| - | - |
| 1 | Install or approve the recorder extension. |
| 2 | Open the target application. |
| 3 | Record the required workflow. |
| 4 | Add meaningful validations. |
| 5 | Review the generated scenario. |
| 6 | Remove sensitive information. |
| 7 | Import the scenario into GermainUX. |
| 8 | Select the execution Engine. |
| 9 | Configure schedule, timeout, and alerts. |
| 10 | Validate unattended execution. |
| 11 | Enable recurring monitoring. |

## Recording Guidance

For maintainable scenarios:

* Keep workflows focused.
* Use stable selectors.
* Use condition-based waits.
* Use predictable test data.
* Start from a known state.
* Validate the actual business outcome.

Avoid relying on visual position, generated selectors, or unnecessary fixed delays.

## Credentials and Sensitive Data

Do not record or embed:

* Real-user passwords
* API keys
* Access tokens
* Customer information
* Payment information
* Confidential production data

Use dedicated synthetic accounts and your approved credential-management mechanism.

## Validate

Confirm:

* The Engine can reach the application.
* Browser and driver versions are compatible.
* Authentication succeeds.
* The scenario does not depend on an existing local browser session.
* Expected outcomes are validated.
* Test data is cleaned up where required.
* Failure alerts reach the appropriate team.
