# AA Unit / day

## Overview

**AA** stands for **Analytics and Automation**.

GermainUX Enterprise licensing is based on how a customer uses the platform and the capabilities required to deliver the intended business benefits. This usage is measured in **AA Units per day**.

## AA Units and KPIs

Each KPI can specify its applicable [AA Units](https://docs.germainux.com/main/concepts-terminologies.md#aa-unit-analytics-&-automation-unit) according to three attributes:

* Type
* Category
* Name

This hierarchy provides granular control over how AA Unit usage is assigned to individual KPIs.

## Usage Dashboard

The **Germain Unit** dashboard displays AA Unit consumption, helping administrators:

* Review daily usage
* Understand which KPIs consume AA Units
* Monitor usage against licensed capacity
* Identify changes or trends in consumption

## Managing AA Unit Usage

AA Unit consumption is directly related to the capabilities and KPIs configured in your environment.
